About Me

Tracey Doyle was called to the bar in 2017 and honed her litigation skills with firms on
Bay Street in downtown Toronto. She has extensive experience in intellectual property
law, civil litigation, and class action proceedings. She has argued many cases relating to
trademarks, copyright law, patent law, and a variety of class action cases. Using her
Ph.D in vaccine immunology and virology, she has carved out a niche as a combination
litigator and scientific advisor.

Tracey has four degrees. She completed her B.Sc. in health science at the University of
Waterloo, she has an M.Sc. in immunology and infection from the University of
McMaster, a Ph.D. in vaccine immunology and virology from the University of Ottawa
and a J.D. from the University of Ottawa.

Tracey has experience arguing cases in the areas of pharmaceuticals (including
PM(NOC) proceedings), oil and gas, mining, telecom and mechanical patents.
Tracey is also passionate about using her intellectual property expertise to protect
Indigenous people’s rights and property. In addition, while she earned her extensive
experience with Federal Court litigation, she was the impetus to force change for
pronoun identification in both the Ontario Courts and the Federal Courts.
Tracey has also taught several classes at the University of Waterloo, McMaster
University, the University of Ottawa and Toronto Metropolitan University. She prides
herself in being able to break down complicated concepts to enable students, clients,
and judges to understand key issues in a case.

Importantly, Tracey is a kind person who is willing to understand any issue and think of
creative arguments. She is a constant mentor to people and will invest time in her
clients and others who need her help.
